Tandberg receiver reviewTandberg TR lamps, full lighting kit incl. After the purchase. Over the next few days. I will be in touch through out these stages with pics and information. This document will be included in the packaging. I simulate the original packing material. I use a custom made three-layer double wall box. I put two inches of dense Styrofoam across the bottom. I place it into the box on the two-inch bed. Each piece is glued against the walls of the heavy-duty box. I glue a large sheet of cardboard on the top of the thick piece that is used to hold down the item. I then glue the box flaps to this surface and each other flap. Then off it goes. All have arrived safely. You will have a bit of time unpacking but it will arrive safe. Siemens field coil speaker cable ies 48 meter vintage audio. Thanks for asking. I do like to explain this to customers. I usually get these questions about once every two months. That is my best attribute. Because of my packing, which involves insurance as well, all have arrived A-ok.

There are now two system of high fidelity, monophonic monaural and stereophonic. Monophonic is a system that starts from one microphone and is fed through a single high fidelity set. Stereophonic is a double system. Two separate microphones are placed at different sides of the orchestra and two different systems are used to keep the two signals or channels separated. Two separate speakers are used, placed on different sides of you room. Stereo is much like 3-D photography, two slightly different sound reach your ears giving you a new dimension in sound. Scott ' Posta un commento. Pagine Home New Classic Disclaimer. What is stereo? Tandberg TR Very powerful amplifiers can degrade tuner and preamplifier performance. So separate components became the rule and -for years- the rule made sense. But now we,ve found ways to break the rule and build a very high-powered receiver with better performance for less cost than comparable separate components. We started with a high power toroidal transformer to eliminate stray electrical influence on other components within the unit. An expensive device not usually found in consumer products it offers superior stability and performance. The transformer feeds two powerful amplifiers. They have a wide frequency range for transparent sound. Ample overload margin for low distortion. And true complementary, direct-coupled circuits. Four protective circuits help deliver this exceptionally clean high power safely to your speakers. TR has separate preamplifiers for each input to keep low level signals noise-free. And sensitivity controls to equalize listening levels First stages of amplification occur within millimeters of signal input. An expensive but effective way to achieve low noise and clean sound.
Tandberg 2025 receiverThis Tandberg TR is no exception. The faceplate is aluminum and it came with wood cabinet in either natural wood grain or black. While not nearly as well recognized in the U. Another interesting feature of the Tandberg receivers is that I see quite a few of them with fairly exotic veneer. Once it was cleaned up it looked beautiful. I cleaned the pots and switches and it then sounded fantastic as well. Unfortunately with the TR the lighting scheme was changed and amber lights were used. There is also a dimmer switch that will accent the lighting of the meters when switched. I have a Tandberg TR, the pots and the knobs, need a clean and maybe replacing. What did you do to clean up these on the Tanberg TR? It currently sounds scratchy when I turn the pots and the sound is generally fuzzy. If I remember correctly I took the case off and just sprayed some De-Oxit into the tiny hole in the side of the Pots. Then moved the knob back and forth about 50 times. Cleaned them up nicely. Completely got rid of the scratchiness. The Veneers are in fact factory made of exotic wood, the flamed one up above is palisander brazilian rosewoodothers were teak or walnut. Of course the pots were very dirty and 2 rounds of contact cleaner were necessary to get them to a listenable condition. I marveled at the modular design they used making disassembly pretty straight forward. If you find one and decide to clean the pots do yourself a favor and take a photo of every step. Great sounding amplifier. Mono FM switch is great for those living in Rural locations. I have two great Tandbergs. These are very nice classic units — and good looking too.
Tandberg tr-1040 receiverAnd the rule has been justified, because no manufacturer has managed to construct these units on the same chassis and retain the same performance as comparable separate units. The challenge for Tandberg was to break this rule. The result was the new TR series. The first product in the series was the TR which even today is rated amongst the best receivers in the world by American and European Hi-Fi journals. The tests carried out by these journals prove that the performance of the TR is equal to or better than comparable separate units! The TR has the same FM tuner as the TR and is equipped with an amplifier that delivers more than 2 x 55 watts into 8 ohms over the whole frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 Hz with less than 0. I owned some of the Tandberg stereo receivers, most of them in late 70's. If I recall it right, there was this distinctively warm sound to them, almost with eyes closed one could tell it is a Tandberg. Plenty power. I liked the TRa lot. I particularly fancied the tenderness to the high tones. Then again, for say rock music, funk and so on, the bass reproduction could have been punchier. What made me abandon the model TR was, I was disappointed by the FM tuner sensitivity, especially after what I had experienced with the TR tuner. Otherwise, the TR was for keeps, and a very good looking item, too. This website is not affiliated with or sponsored by Tandberg. Having owned one in the past I know full well how nice they are on the eyes. Tandberg is a Norwegian company probably more know in vintage audio circles for their tape decks rather than their receivers. Known for their radio reception they grw in popularity. The TR was introduced in late and was in US markets until about or so. The TR is rated at 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It has an unmistakable European styling that, even today, looks modern and high tech. The aluminum faceplate, big square push buttons and fat black Tandberg name font all add to its unique look. But, the one thing most people remember about the TR series is the rosewood cabinets. One interesting feature of the TR, TR, and TR is that they all have stereo presets which were somewhat uncommon at the time. Amazingly the top of the line TR did not have the preset feature. The presets work as follows:. Select the preset by pushing the button. Tune the preset by using the knob below the preset and the indicator needle on the signal strength meter. The signal strength meter shows the station frequency as it is calibrated with the and turns into a tuning dial when the presets are selected. The tuner sections in the Tandberg TR line are top notch and can compete with the most pricey tuners of the time. Tandberg receivers are great performers and look fantastic. For a time they flew under the radar and could be had pretty cheaply. But, their popularity is growing and so are their sale prices. Still, compared to other brands such as McIntosh and Marantz they are still reasonable. If you like a little European flair to go along with your vintage taste then try out a Tandberg. Ah, yes. Have a PDF file of the instruction manual. Just purchased a TR complete with manuals. Waiting for my DIN cables. Allen, I would appreciate it if someone could send me the instruction manual of the Tandberg
